(Student drawing from a school in Texas: item from Our Marathon's Letters to the City of Boston collection)
To support the archive's investments in education and community outreach, Our Marathon has developed lesson plans for Kindergarten through 12th grade students. The archival items highlighted in these plans range from poetry to oral history, and there are unique suggestions for final assignments. These latter assignments are designed to demonstrate mastery of the appropriate Common Core Standards.
These plans are meant as suggestions for teachers and students. Hopefully they serve as new access points for the types of materials in the archive. They are designed to emphasize the many ways an educator might utilize our larger collections in the classroom.

No Story Is Too Small: Our Marathon believes that it is important for students to think about the recent past, and we know many educators feel the same way.
