Peace in Boston

This "Peace" poster was one of many items left at a temporary memorial set up in Copley Square in the wake of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombings. This exhibit highlights some of the messages left by visitors to the memorial and provides links to related messages and images found in the Our Marathon archive. Visitors can feel free to use the exhibit's Zoom feature to explore messages that are not specifically highlighted by us.

The "Peace" poster was collected by The Boston City Archives and was later digitized by Iron Mountain. To view additional items collected by The Boston City Archives, visit our BCA Page.

Nate Rehm-Daly, Our Marathon's Summer 2014 Tri-Co-DH intern, created this exhibit in Neatline. Additional editorial content provided by Jim McGrath.
