Me and my wife just arrived...

This story was collected by the Boston Globe in the days immediately following the Boston Marathon Bombing. GlobeLab collected these anonymous stories on the Boston.com website and donated them to the Our Marathon Archive. We are grateful for this contribution, which gives insight into how Bostonians and visitors to the city understood the bombing events in their immediate aftermath.

Me and my wife just arrived 10-15mins before the first blasts. We decided to take exeter from commonwealth (dont know really why) with our 3 week old and almost 2 year old daughters. My wife was thinking of proposing to go to the finish, but luckily was busy looking after the 2 year old. We ran into exeter and alley 433.
We were invited by locals to come inside. We were very grateful for this. We will go and have dinner with them in 2 weeks, so we can thank them again.
