My wife and a friend of ours had just left the Pour House restaurant/bar on Boylston street and we were heading home. We live on Marlborough St near the corner of Dartmouth. We got to the corner of Boylston & Gloucester and stopped to determine whether we should continue walking down Boylston through the crowded sidewalk, or go down Gloucester to…

I was sitting in my office at 206 Newbury (my window looks out to the building that blew up around Forum Bar) and heard 1 loud explosion that sounded like something heavy was dropped on the floor above me, then I heard a second and saw smoke shoot up behind our building. Two young girls stood next to me with a sign, "Beat Oprah" and her time of 4:14:54. I was bothered by the three policeman in front of me, blocking my view. I was there to cheer on the runners. I wanted to…

Working at the Apple Store on Boylston Street. In the basement at the time, felt the explosion while underground.

I was on the E line...

I was on the E line at Prudential when the bombs went off above. The train stopped no more than a few hundred feet from the station and gave several reasons for the stoppage until they settled on "police action above." Someone fainted on the train and, with the little information we could get underground trickling in, passengers on the crowd…

I was in front of the Sugar Heaven store watching the race and waiting for a friend to finish his first marathon.

I was snapping some pictures and enjoying the day.

I realized that my friend was not to arrive for a while, so I decided to get an ice cream at Sugar Heaven.

I finished the ice cream and moved back into the crowd, but a bit…
