At the Finish Line

I recently got the chance to take this picture at the finish line with my new Boston strong tattoo.

my wife and I were at...

my wife and I were at the fence waiting for our son to cross the finish line. he was 20 to 30 feet from finish when bomb exploded. many people all around us were hurt. we helped a couple of hurt people to flee towards the east when second bomb detonated. i dont know how we were spared injury as we were only a few feet from explosion.

We were celebrating with my buddy...

We were celebrating with my buddy after he ran the marathon at Legal Seafood, a tradition of his. As we were taking our first sips of our drinks, the building shook. At first we thought it was a bit odd, but speculated that it may have been simply a delivery truck hitting a loading dock too hard.

A few seconds later the building shook even…

We were at the office of...

We were at the office of a local nonprofit at a party for a friend who was running for charity. Our friend was on about a 4:00 finish pace and we almost headed to the finish line to watch him cross.

Suddenly, we heard one loud BOOM that sounded like cannon fire (like the howitzers being fired at the Hatch Shell during the 1812 Overture) and…

While looking down towards the finish...

While looking down towards the finish line, about 500ft from the second explosion. I saw the first explosion, a friend next to me said, what was that, Fireworks, I said out loud, That not right.. and as we kept looking down towards the finish line we saw the second, At that point I grabbed my 2 friends and told them to run up towards the food court…
